Six of the world’s ten fastest-growing economies are in sub-Saharan Africa and Africa’s population is projected to double to 2,4 billion by 2050. To be part of the rapid development and take advantage of business opportunities in sub-Saharan Africa will become increasingly important for the competitiveness and growth of Swedish companies.

Inclusive Business Sweden is proud to continue the Go Africa programme with an Africapreneurs #7 – Network Africa event in Stockholm on the 26th of September. This event, organized in collaboration with Swedish Institute, will once again give you the opportunity to connect with 30 prominent African business leaders and entrepreneurs from the Swedish Institute Management Programme.

Africapreneurs #7 – Network Africa offers 40 Swedish companies with business interest in Africa the unique opportunity to meet with prominent business leaders and entrepreneurs from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Zambia who are participating in the Swedish Institute Management Programme (SIMP) Africa 2018.  During this Matchmaking event, Swedish and SIMP Africa participants will get up to five 1-on-1 meetings each. You will get to choose who you would like to meet in early September 2018.

You are also invited to an exclusive Go Africa Reconnect event beforehand, giving you the opportunity to reconnect with your Go Africa peers in Sweden. We are proud to present the inspirational case of High5 by Sweden - a partnership between GLOBHE and FLYPULSE, two of Sweden’s most promising drone startups working in Malawi.

Company/organisation: Eltex Textile and Garment Factory, one of the few 100% locally owned textile and garment factory in Ethiopia. With more than 21 years of experience they are currently employing more than 1600 Ethiopians in the factories they have in two locations. For almost 5 years now, ELTEX has also been a major exporter in the apparel industry - making different styles for many customers in Europe and currently to US as well. They have an annual turnover of close to USD 5.5 million.

Company/organisation: Kamata Online Protection (KOP) Service Limited addresses power theft through actively monitoring, identifying and smartly reporting any electricity theft attempts within the metering environment. Kamata device is tested and recognized by reputable institutions like the Royal academy of Engineering, American society for mechanical engineers, Berkerly university – Carlifornia plus more in Africa and Europe. We have a customer base that can take up 5,000 – 10,000 units per annum in Uganda, with prospects of expanding into other countries in Africa.

10. Joshwa Tambo Founding Director

In order to sustain KCEO activities, Joshwa together with his friends co-founded Kshoes- a social enterprise that partners with skilled artisans from the informal settlements in Nairobi to produce customized footwear, targeting local and international markets.
